Aflora Tulum

about.

Located in Aldea Zamá, Aflora is a residential oasis distinguished by its iconic reception tower, designed as a portal between the urban context and the Maya jungle. The structure consists of an inner cylinder wrapped in a parametric bamboo skin by Arquitectura Mixta, forming a spiraling path that leads to a rooftop observatory. The façade features a metal skeleton clad in Tzalam wood and diagonal bamboo strips, creating a diamond pattern. The layered design produces a dynamic Moiré effect, visually merging the monumental form with the surrounding nature.
